Photo Session

  • Photo sessions for couples typically last about an hour

  1. Pre-Shoot Consultation (in-person or by phone):  We'll talk about your interests and the vision you have for your images.  If you haven't filled out a client questionnaire (links below), we'll talk through that to make sure we both have all the information we need, including information about pricing and securing your photo shoot date.

  2. Photo Shoot: we will meet at our prearranged location and shoot your photos. 

  3. Post Processing: I will hand-edit your images. This step may take 2-4 weeks, and depends on workload.

  4. Photo & Album Delivery: Your digital images and hardcover memory album will be delivered or mailed to you via a digital share or flash drive, along with a full print release.  You may order professional-grade prints or additional memory albums directly from your digital gallery, or you may download your digital images and print them at a photo lab of your choice. 


$295.00:  Couples may be any combination of two people (at least one person over 16 years old): adults, spouses, siblings, parent-child, friends, etc.

Price includes all process steps described above, at a location within 10 miles of Waynesboro, VA.  One half of the estimated price is required as a retainer to secure a date for your session, along with a signed client-photographer agreement. The remainder of the price is due at the start of your photo shoot.  If additional time is required for the photo shoot, a charge of $150 per hour will be added.  If travel beyond 10 miles of Waynesboro is required (20 miles round trip), a travel fee of $2.50/mile will be added. Sales tax is included in the above price. 

Prices are subject to change at any time, however once you have secured a date for your session, you will not be charged updated prices for that session.

The final determination whether a client is eligible for Bring Joy Client no-cost photography services will be made by Jennifer Kearney.

Joy Photography provides portrait shoots and images to "Bring Joy" Clients at no cost who have been referred as being in need by a high school counselor, teacher, pastor, or other qualified adult non-family member.  Referrals must be made in-person or via phone conversation with Jennifer Kearney.  Names and identities of Bring Joy Clients will be kept confidential, and the service and images they are provided will be the same in nature and quality as received by pay-for-service clients.
