OVERVIEW

  • Photo sessions for children and families vary in length, typically between 45 minutes and 1 hour, depending on the number and age of subjects

  • We will photograph multiple poses and settings at a pre-arranged location

  • Approximately 20-25 edited digital images will be delivered to you in a digital gallery

PROCESS

  1. Pre-Shoot Consultation (in-person or by phone):  We'll talk about your interests and the vision you have for your images.  If you haven't filled out a client questionnaire (link below), we'll talk through that to make sure we both have all the information we need, including information about pricing and securing your photo shoot date.    Photo Session Client Questionnaire

  2. Photo Shoot: we will meet at our prearranged location and shoot your photos. 

  3. Post Processing: I will hand-edit your images. This step may take 2-4 weeks, and depends on workload.

  4. Image Delivery: Your photos will be delivered to you in a digital gallery.  You may order professional-grade prints and products from your digital gallery, or you may download your digital images and print them at a photo lab of your choice. 

PRICING

Individual Child (16 & under)
$250.00. This session allows us the to take our time (approximately 45 minutes) to get combinations of poses, outfits and photo settings in a prearranged location for an individual baby or child 16 years old or under.

Two Children (16 & under)
$300.00. Similar to an individual child session, this session allows us the to take our time (approximately 45-60 minutes) to get combinations of poses, outfits and photo settings in a prearranged location for two children 16 years old or under.

Families
Price begins at $385.00 for a group of 3 (add $25 per additional family member).  A family session lasts approximately an hour, where we will shoot multiple poses in several settings at a prearranged location, varying family members in each pose as time allows. 

For each of the children & family combinations, prices include all process steps described above, at a location within 10 miles of Waynesboro, VA.  One half of the estimated price is required as a retainer to secure a date for your session, along with a signed client-photographer agreement. The remainder of the price is due at the start of your photo shoot.  If additional time is required for the photo shoot, a charge of $150 per hour will be added.  If travel beyond 10 miles of Waynesboro is required (20 miles round trip), a travel fee of $2.50/mile will be added. If you are interested in a shorter session, you may opt to book a mini session instead.  More information on mini sessions may be found on this page. Sales tax is included in the above price. 

Prices are subject to change at any time, however once you have secured a date for your session, you will not be charged updated prices for that session.

The final determination whether a client is eligible for Bring Joy Client no-cost photography services will be made by Jennifer Kearney.

Joy Photography provides portrait shoots and images to "Bring Joy" Clients at no cost who have been referred as being in need by a high school counselor, teacher, pastor, or other qualified adult non-family member.  Referrals must be made in-person or via phone conversation with Jennifer Kearney.  Names and identities of Bring Joy Clients will be kept confidential, and the service and images they are provided will be the same in nature and quality as received by pay-for-service clients.
